3 DIY Hair Mask for Dry Damaged Hair

Naturals we’re back with some more DIY ingredients this time we’re blessing you with 3 DIY Hair mask for dry, damaged hair. Ever so often I get DM’s asking how to repair damaged hair. Sometimes you don’t necessarily need a store-bought product per se to bring your hair back to life. You can use ingredients right from your kitchen (so much cheaper, especially when you don’t know what products to buy). DISCLAIMER: let me start by saying do NOT try this once and expect your hair to become healthy overnight. Because that’s not the way it works.

In life “consistency” (being consistent) plays a major role when you desire to accomplish any goal along with patience. For me, before I say a product does not work for my hair. I like to try that product out for a month before I come to that conclusion. With that being said if your hair is currently damaged Sis, I recommend trying out one of these DIY masks for 4 weeks (deep condition once a week with any of the 3 masks) and see how your hair responds to these natural ingredients. The best way to repair dry, damaged hair is to step your moisture game up. Stop skipping the deep conditioning step on wash day. Focus on adding moisture back into yours. Lack of moisture to hair will dry your hair out leading to dry damaged hair!

3 DIY Hair Mask for Dry Damaged Hair

APPLE CIDER VINEGAR, HONEY AND LEMON MASK

Ok naturals, let’s get into this ACV, honey and lemon mask. Here are the benefits of using this mask. Lemon juice helps absorb excess oil while the ACV balances the PH level in your hair. Lemon juice also has a rich source of Vitamin C making the hair strong and reduces hair fall. It contains a compound called Limonene that helps add life to dull, frizzy hair. ACV cleanses the hair without stripping away all of the moisture from your hair. While honey seals in moisture for a more lustrous looking hair strand.

  • 1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
  • Juice from one whole lemon
  • 1 tablespoon honey

Instructions: Mix the ingredients and apply on freshly washed hair. Cover hair with a shower cap and leave on for 30 mins. Then wash out. You can choose to style hair or condition hair to remove the ACV smell.

AVOCADO AND OLIVE OIL HAIR MASK

Avocado I don’t like to eat it however, it has great benefits for your hair. Avocados can help improve the condition of your hair. They are a great source of moisturizer for dry or damaged hair. It helps to prevent hair loss and promote hair growth. Avocados contain vitamins B and E. This protects and strengthen hair. Vitamin B is needed for hair growth and Vitamin E helps repair damaged scalp. Using avocados regularly will help promote hair growth. I already shared the benefits of Olive oil so this combination together is sure to help bring your hair back to life.
